Note for Canadian applicants:

Canada is not a signatory to the international agreement that standardizes document verification, signified the 'apostille certificate'. Instead of getting an apostille certificate, these documents need to be certified by a Korean diplomatic office:

  • Notarized criminal/background/police record check or certificate, with the Vulnerable Sector Search included

  • Two notarized copies of your diploma if you intend to send a copy instead of your original diploma

Please make sure that your notarized documents are accompanied with a Notarial Certificate from your notary public. If you intend to send a notarized copy of your diploma instead of the original, you will need to have an additional set of official transcripts. The Korean diplomatic office in Canada will retain one set of official transcripts and one notarized copy of your diploma.
